Got A Girl Crush On: Melissa Leo’s Hilarious Fight for Blowie Equality

Catching up on this season of Louie, I could hardly contain myself when Melissa Leo first walked into the liquor store. I love Melissa Leo. I can’t really explain this love much more than just saying that this woman’s Je ne sais quoi is just so, undeniably, bad-ass. I just kept watching and waiting, knowing that Louis C.K. must also recognize this, while praying that he wrote a role worthy for her.

Thankfully, my prayers were answered (You’re the man, Louis). Her 15 minute performance was like a beautiful, flaming, meteor on an hilariously unexpected collision course. There’s just something so deeply satisfying about watching a respectable, oscar-winning, actress climb on top of Louis C.K.’s head yelling, “Lick it! Lick it or I’ll break your finger!”

“What’s wrong with this country?!” Definitely not Melissa Leo.
