dilema friday

so my beloved point-n-shoot digital camera (canon sd40 to be exact) has officially started to crap out on me (i carry this lil guy w/me at all times and it looks like it’s been through a war). ideally, i’d like to just buy another because it’s sucha great, small, portable, durable (up until recently) cam…unfortunatly i do not remember paying $300+ for it (which is what it’s newer 7.1mp sister is going for). and while although i did just get my stimulus check, i want to save that for my trip to sweden.
ANYWAYS

what to get to replace it?

option A:
go the way of the lil point-n-shoot film olympus that so many of my photo friends seem rocking these days? and only $55 bones!

option B:
stick to instant grat and get another, reasonably priced, canon digi? ($185USD)

thoughts?? suggestions?
